Mini-Weld Model 6 Airless Plastic Welder, Model# 5600HT Plastic Welder worked great for me.By Hus RugovaI bought this plastic welder to try to repair the bumper cover on my mercedes e55. my bumper was torn about 18" running horizontally across the bottom of the bumper and my fog light housing was cracked from top to bottom. my bumper was in bad shape. the body shop wanted $600 to repair and repaint the bumper and wouldn't guarantee their repair and bondo. they wanted to rivot a piece of sheetmetal or hard plastic to the rip and use filler to smooth it out. i actually didnt have to use any kind of filler, i melted extra plastic and shaved the excess down.... the mercedes dealer wanted $1200 for a new bumper cover and then painting it was extra... i decided to take a chance and repair it myself. i watched the dvd and scanned the book real quick and got to work. i had my dremel tool ready, shaved and cleaned the edges as per instructions. i used strips of that stainless steel mesh and the long plastic melting rods, melted it into the plastic and sanded the excess plastic ... » More Information about Urethane Supply Co.
