G10 is hardened fiberglass reinforced with resin, making the material resistant to moisture or water. There is an anodized blue titanium belt clip which can be removed if the user wishes. The blade is a spear point D2 steel. Air hardened tool steel that has excellent resistance to wear and good corrosion resistance, according to Benchmade. The spring latch is actuated by squeezing the sheathed knife or by physically flipping it up. Given that the latch has a dome shape it is actually easier to flip it up.
