Glad I did get two, since the support frame is pretty flexable and the sheet will waffle on just one jack; some what unsafe. With two - tools, a 4 X 12' sheet is pretty stable and is much more easily manuvered into place. These were a life saver. My two helpers love them and don't have to break their backs holding up the sheet. Two persons can hang sheet rock all day long, safely, with this tool. They could have a lock in the vertical position, as mensioned in one other review. This would be a big plus. The existing lock on the horizontial position - we didn't use and was pretty much worthless, since the wieght of the sheet keeps it flat.
