How about this DEWALT D25323K 1-Inch L-Shape SDS Rotary Hammer Kit Better than I envisionedBy ChrisThe hammer action on my old stand-by D-handle Hitachi stopped working and I wanted to step up in quality. I shopped the Bosch price at Home Depot and then checked Amazon. I not only found the Bosch at a lower price, but discovered this Dewalt at a lower price. I have already been sold on Dewalt's quality and decided to buy this model to see if the shock reduction and the shorter, compact length could make working with the tool more friendly. When I used this for the first time I looked at the chuck to see if it was turning. It was, but the vibration was reduced so much it felt like I was simply pressing the drill point against the stone. This drill is awesome. It is easier to handle because of the compact design. The vibration is reduced which again adds to the ease of handling. And, of course, the drill does make holes just like other drills.
